Raymond S. Lewis

October 6, 1896 — April 19, 1981

Raymond S. Lewis, 84, formerly of Meadville, a resident of Rolling Fields Nursing Home, Conneautville, died Sunday, April 19, 1981, at City Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born in Franklin in Venango County on October 6, 1896, a son of Ambro and Margaret Pitcher Lewis.  He married Marriett Barton on May 16, 1916.

He retired after 47 years of service as a tool and die maker at Talon, division of Textron.

He was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and Randolph Grange.

Survivors, in addition to his wife of Rolling Fields Nursing Home, include two daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Mildred) Smith of Meadville and Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Wescott of Geneva, NY; a nephew; one granddaughter and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by three sisters.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Saegertown Cemetery.
