Miss Rebecca F. Cooper, last living member of Allegheny College Class of 1893 and a life-long resident of Meadville, died Thursday, December 17, 1964, at Children's Aid Society and Home for the Aged, where she had lived since June 1961. She was 93 years old.
A descendant of a pioneer Meadville family, she was born at Meadville, December 1, 1871, a daughter of Myron and Rachel Harper Cooper. Her father at one time was police chief of Meadville.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Women's Assn. of the church, Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and American Assn. of University Women.
Survivors include one first cousin, Park Breckinridge of Erie; and ten second cousins, Miss Beatrice Cotton, Joseph Cotton, Miss Genevieve Cotton, Miss Mabel Cotton and Francis Cotton, all of Meadville, Miss Daphne Harper of Northhampton, Mass., Mrs. Steven (Martha Harper) Kittridge of Warren, OH, Alfred Cotton and Myron Breckenridge, both of Conneaut Lake, Scott Harper of Florida, Mrs. Ross E. Hendrix of Richmond, IN and Mrs. John English of Indianapolis, IN.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Dennys Cemetery.
