Rebecca L. Kaltenbaugh, 64, of Slippery Rock passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2024 at Butler Hospital.
Rebecca was born on March 12, 1959 in Grove City to the late Clarence and Lucille (McQuiston) Black.
Rebecca grew up riding horses and showing them locally. She was an active member of 4-H. Rebecca went on to work at Polk Center as a caregiver. Her hobbies included raising and breeding Appaloosa horses, gardening, canning and cooking. She remained active in the 4-H community for many years. Her love of animals was evident. Rebecca especially loved spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Sarah Crotts; her grandchildren: Peyton Deeter, Austin Deeter and Elizabeth Kaltenbaugh; and her siblings: Diane (Tom) Sturgin, Jan(Charles) good, and Bill Black.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Rupert.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro. At Rebecca’s request there will be no services.
