Reese J. Miller, 69, died early Thursday at the home of a nephew, Gerald W. Miller, of Meadville, where he and his wife had been making their home.
A son of Mathias and Sara Ann Jackson Miller, he was born in Sadsbury Township and lived for a time in East Fallowfield Township before moving to Meadville where he was employed as a plumber. He also was employed for a time by the Erie Railroad.
From 1916 to May 2, 1951, when he retired, he was employed by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. at Akron, OH. He returned to Meadville the following July.
He was a member of Grace Methodist Church, Meadville Grange and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Surviving, besides his widow, Mrs. Anna Curty Miller, are two sisters, Mrs. E. L. Leonard and Mrs. Martha E. Sunbury, both of Meadville; two nieces and three nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
