Rella E. Sheets

Mrs. Rella E. Sheets, 84, of Meadville, died at the United Methodist Nursing Hospital late Friday evening, August 6, 1976, after an illness of several months.  She had lived in the Meadville area for 52 years.

Born in Dunmore, Pocahontas County, WV, November 20, 1891, she was a daughter of Henry and E. Virginia Tacy Taylor.  On November 12, 1912, she married Ira W. Sheets who died September 22, 1955.  She had at various times been employed in the housekeeping department at both City and Spencer hospitals.  She was a member of State Road United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. William L. (Ollie Mae) Hart, Mrs. Ward (Mary) Sheets and Mrs. O. T. (Lucille) Schwab, all of Meadville and Mrs. Stephen (Grace) DeMeter of Painesville, OH; two sons, Wilson and Kyle Sheets, both of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Fred (Nellie) Phillips of Cass, WV; four brothers, Andrew, Robert and Russell Taylor, all of Greenbank, WV and Albert Taylor of Covington, VA; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers and two grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
