Rena B. LoBue, 69, of 7520 Walnut St. Meadville, (East Fairfield Twp.) died at home Monday, November 17, 2003, suddenly, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Union City, June 26, 1934, a daughter of the late Fred & Edith Wilkins King. She married I. J. (Babe) LoBue in 1974, and he survives.
She was a 1952 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School, and had been employed at the American Viscose Co. for 12 years. She and her husband had worked together at the Meadville Market House making sausage and specialty items. She wore her “Sausage Queen” apron during the holidays.
She loved her family and was a very gracious, and loving person, and a care- giver to many. She enjoyed raising flowers, and was a skilled seamstress.
She was a member of the First Church of God.
Survivors in addition to her husband of 29 years, include 2 step-daughters, Mary Ellen Peterson and her husband Jimmie of Cochranton, and Carol Ann Cox and her husband Larry of Guys Mills, also step grandchildren and step-great grand children, 2 sisters, Adra Wethli of Conneaut Lake, and Ava Dean Dilley of Union City, and 1 brother, Fred W. King and his wife Shirley of Brookville, and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wed. from 6-9 p.m. and Thur. From 9 to 11 a.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc. 581 Chestnut St. Meadville, with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Thursday.
Officiating will be the Rev. Temple Jarrell, Assoc. Pastor, First Church of God.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
