Rex Britton, 72, of Cambridge Springs, died Saturday, December 17, 1960, at Smith Institute where he had been a patient four days. He had been in ill health about a month.
He was born in Guys Mills May 24, 1888, a son of John and Helen Hall Britton. He married Natalee Danner December 24, 1911. She died in 1950. He was a member of Richmond Grange and Meadville Eagles Lodge.
He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. James (Pauline) Morgan of Huntington Park, CA, Mrs. Audrey Grinnell of Geneva, Mrs. Walter (Winifred) Williams of Maitland, FL, Mrs. Bess Ann Aranas in Japan, and Mrs. George (Helen) Townley of Richmond Township; five sons, Richard, Neal and Glenn of Meadville, Robert of Huntington Park and William of Oil City; two brothers, Allen of Saegertown and Lee of Canadensis; 29 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Rootville Cemetery, Bloomfield Township.
