Richard C. Horner

July 13, 1883 — August 15, 1960

Richard C. Horner, 77, of Meadville, died at City Hospital Monday, August 15, 1960, after an illness of several months.

He was born in Cambria County, July 13, 1883, a son of Cyrus and Mary Rose Horner.  He married Hulda Statler June 8, 1906.

Mr. Horner was a carpenter and a member of the Cochranton United Presbyterian Church.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge 408, Solomon Royal Arch Chapter 19 and Northwestern Commandary 25, all of Meadville, and Zem Zem Temple of the Shrine, Erie, and Erie Scottish Rite Bodies.

Surviving, besides his widow, are a daughter, Mrs. Samuel (Beatrice) Gera of Sharon; a son, Richard M. of Cochranton; two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Ripple and Mrs. Anna Seese, both of Windber; a brother, Harvey of Windber; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
