Richard "Dick" G. Wagler

Richard “Dick” G. Wagler, 72 of Fairview Twp, Stoneboro, passed away the morning of December 6, 2018 in his home surrounded by his family. Dick was born on October 21, 1946 in Pittsburgh to the late William B. and Helen Vivian Nanstiel Wagler. Dick was a 1965 graduate of Lakeview High School and hosted his class reunions for many years. Dick was a very talented carpenter and owned and operated Wagler Construction for many years. He built many houses and barns over his years as well as fire places with his talented stone work. He was “Mr. Fix It” and would always help out family and friends when they needed something repaired. Dick was also an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman, having went on many fishing trips to Canada with his family over the years. He enjoyed trips to the casino to play the slot machines going to any casino in the area he could. He was Christian by faith and adored his loving family, spending as much time with them as he could. Dick married his beloved wife, Linda D. Sorg on February 25, 1966, she survives at home. In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by his son, Chance Wagler and wife Brina, of Fairview Twp, Stoneboro, grandchildren Caitlyn Wagler and companion Brandon Rosenberger of Rocky Grove, Jade Wagler of Sheakleyville, and Hunter Wagler of Sandy Lake, great-grandchildren Nevaeh and Lane Wagler, and brother William Wagler and wife Emma of Fredonia. Dick was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome from 4 pm – 7 pm on Saturday, December 8, a funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 2 pm on Sunday, December 9, with the Pastor Brad Devine, family friend, officiating. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made in Dick’s name to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, Illinois 60611.
