Richard Karl Miller, 65, of Meadville, died at home Saturday, January 2, 1982, after a nine-month illness.
He was born at Meadville August 27, 1916, a son of Roy A. and Frances Haury Miller. He married Ellener Zimber of Titusville, May 31, 1940.
In 1978, he retired as a sales representative from Talon Inc., where he had worked for 26 years. He had previously been employed at Electric Materials Co. of North East and LaFrance Precision Casting Co., Los Angeles.
A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, he also was a member of BPOE No. 219.
Mr. Miller was a 1935 graduate of Meadville High School, a 1937 graduate of Western Union Telegraph School, Bloomfield, NJ and served in the US Marines in World War II, where he was stationed in the Pacific Theatre and participated in the occupation of Japan.
In addition to his wife, a son, Mark K. of Washington, DC survives.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
