Richard Neil Cutshall, 84, of Meadville, died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at the Marquette Hospice House.
He was born March 20, 1931 in Meadville, a son of Archie O. and Cecilia Holcomb Cutshall. He married Janice Evelyn Warp August 14, 1954 and she preceded him in death May 24, 1997.
Dick was a 1950 graduate of the former Randolph High School. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran serving from 1951 to 1954. He graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a minor in finance in 1958. Dick attained his Certified Public Accountant certificate in 1961.
He began his accounting career in 1958 with the James A. Armstrong, Jr. Certified Public Accounting firm which merged with the Carbis Walker Certified Public Accounting firm in 1962. Dick retired from Carbis Walker as a senior partner in 1992 following 34 years of service.
He was member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He was a member of McDaniels Corners Bible Church, was a former member and treasurer of the Iroquois Club, former board member of Active Aging, Inc. of Crawford County, and enjoyed golfing.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Neil Cutshall, Jr. and his wife Ellen of Narberth and Scott James Cutshall and his wife Amy of Portland, OR; four grandchildren, Jacob, Alexis, Rebecca, and Chloe Cutshall; three sisters, Shirley Campbell and her husband Pressley of Meadville, Lila Cutshall Lee of North Andover, MA, and Bernice Cutshall Miceli of Riverside, CA; a brother, Robert B. Cutshall and his wife Eleanor of Pittsfield; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Autumn Nesbitt.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Adam Almaroad, Pastor of McDaniels Corners Bible Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
