Richard Phillip Palicia, Sr., 62 of Jackson Twp, Mercer, passed away on October 10, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian. Richard was born on November 23, 1959 in Columbus, OH to Zachary R. and the late Jeanette L. (Reagle) Palicia. He worked for many years as a laborer at Tri-County Industries. Richard proudly served his Country in the United States Navy.
Richard enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets to find items to add to his many collections. His favorite collectibles were model trains. He also enjoyed collecting vinyl records and enjoyed music. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Richard married his wife, Darla Sue (Mohrbacher) Palicia on June 4, 2004, she survives at home.
Also left to cherish his memory are his children; Jeff (Jeanne) Uber of Oil City, Richard Palicia Jr of Oil City, Christopher Palicia of Florida, and Melinda (Gary) Benninger of Boyers, grandchildren; Domonic Palicia, Cody, Brittany, and Austin Lewis, his father; Zachary Palicia of Stoneboro, siblings; Michael Palicia of Dunwoody, GA, and Teresa (Christian) Scholund of Hingham, MA.
In addition to his mother, Jeanette Palicia, Richard was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Murphy.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome from 4 pm – 7 pm on Thursday, October 13. A time of sharing will follow visitation at 7 pm.
Private interment and military honors will take place in St. Columbkille Cemetery.
