Richard W. Clark

June 25, 1928 — October 31, 2011

Richard W. Clark, 83, of 21686 Fisher Rd., Meadville, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born on the family farm in Meadville June 25, 1928, a son of F. Wray and Florence M. Hilgendorf Clark.  He married Barbara J. Redmond and she survives.

Richard was a life-long self-employed dairy farmer and also was a milk hauler.  He was a member of many fraternal orders including:  life-member and past master of Crawford Masonic Lodge 234, Royal Arch Chapter, New Castle Consistory, Zem Zem Shrine Temple, Erie, Crawford County Shrine Club, Odd Fellows Lodge 108, and Golden Crown Chapter 44, Order of Eastern Star.  He was a charter member of West Mead 2 Volunteer Fire Dept. and member of the National Rifle Association.  He enjoyed western square dancing and round dancing.

He was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Barbara of 61 years, include a daughter, Anita L. Clark of Tarpon Springs, FL; a son, Walter W. Clark and his wife Denise of Meadville; three grandchildren, Sarah Ellen Yurisic and her husband Chad, Curtis W. Clark and his wife Cathi, and Amanda Joan Covert and her husband Josh; three great-grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth, Raechel Marie, and Benjamin W.; an uncle, Austin Millard Clark of Meadville; two cousins, Margaret Schwartz and Judy Beatty, both of Meadville; several nieces and nephews; and his most beloved dog Sugar.

Per his wishes, there are no calling hours or services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Masonic Building Fund, c/o Roger Nydes, 17112 Parkview Dr., Meadville, PA 16335 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
