Rickard "Rick" F. Reynolds

November 21, 1947 — May 3, 2023

Rickard “Rick” F. Reynolds, 75 of Sandy Lake Twp, passed away on May 3, 2023 at his home. Rick was born in Franklin on November 21, 1947 to the late James and Armetha (Boyd) Reynolds. He was a graduate of Lakeview High School and went on to proudly serve his Country in the United States Army, stationed in Vietnam for one year. He worked for Reynolds TV Cable with his father and eventually took over the business, running it for 35 years. He then sold the business to Tri-ax Cable and worked for them for a few more years. Rick then created Compu-spec, a metrology company, and eventually purchased the Cart Corral in New Lebanon. He also worked for many years as the caretaker of New Lebanon Cemetery.

Rick was a jack-of-all-trades and could fix anything. He was self-taught in repairs and in playing the guitar. He loved to play guitar for his family, at square-dances, and around the campfire. He enjoyed playing and singing a wide variety of songs. Rick called and played at square-dances at the New Vernon Grange for many years before its closure. He also enjoyed hunting and camping at his camp in Tionesta. He loved his many horses and caring for them. Most of all he will be remembered as a kind person who was always willing to help somebody in their time of need and a man who loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He married his beloved wife: Frances A. (Sharp) Reynolds on June 18, 1966. She survives at home. Also surviving are his children: Alexa (James) Houle of Sandy Lake; and Bill (Chrissy) Reynolds of Jackson Center, grandchildren: Mary (Mike) Shahen of Seattle, WA; Bill (Michelle) Reynolds of Stoneboro; Dakota (Fiancé Karlee) Reynolds of Sandy Lake; and Kyan (Fiancé Rebecca) of Jackson Center, great-grandchildren: Malachi; Jackson; Lincoln; Nevin; and Tucker, brothers: Jim “Buzz”; Kerry; Keith; and Donnie, and sister: Laura Lou, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his siblings: Mary; Peggy; Bob; Judy; Gloria; Faith; and Timmy.
