Robert C. (Bob) Clark, 79, of Meadville, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 26, 2000 in Los Alamos, NM while visiting family there.
He was born in Clarks Mills, Mercer County, March 25, 1921, a son of the late Otis L. and Alice Carey Clark. He married Beth Greenfield June 30, 1941 and she survives.
He was a 1939 graduate of Sheakleyville High School, had been a self-employed farmer at Beaver Center, Crawford County, and retired in 1985 as a salesman for Bortnick Tractor Sales and Service of West Springfield following 10 years of service.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Meadville and a former member of the United Church of Beaver Center.
He had been an avid hunter and enjoyed gardening, lawn care, and observing nature. He was a talented repairman and had assisted many people with their repairs.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 59 years, include two sons, William L. Clark (Danette) of Los Alamos, NM and R. Budd Clark of Mauldin, SC; five grandchildren, Tiffany Gomez (Miguel), Tricia Franchville (Jim), and Laura, Ryan, and Rebecca Clark; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Umlauf of Canton, OH, Mildred Buchanan, of Cochranton, and Barbara Randall (Cork) of Cochranton.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Beatty and one brother, Donald Clark.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
