Robert E. Brown

Robert E. Brown, 64, of Meadville, died at Spencer Hospital, Friday, October 6, 1972, after a long illness.

He was born in Meadville, on October 14, 1907, a son of Fred S. and Mildred Crist Brown.  He married Evelyn "Duff" Mays on July 31, 1929.  Mr. Brown was employed by the Erie Lackawanna Railway Co. as assitant chief chemist.  He was a member of Park Congregational Church where he served as a deacon, Crawford Masonic Lodge 234, West Mead 1 Volunteer Fire Department and Erie Lackawanna Railway Veterans Assoc.

Survivors include his widow; a sister, Miss Mildred L. Brown of Lemoyne; and a brother, Fred H. Brown of Meadville.  He was preceded in death by two sons, David and Robert.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
