Robert E. Lang, 83, of Meadville, died Sunday January 25, 1998, at home following a period of declining health.
He was born in Pittsburgh, September 14, 1914, a son of the late Charles and Mary Stockton Lang. He married Emma K. Kuhn, June 21, 1941.
Mr. Lang was a graduate of Perry High School, Pittsburgh and attended the University of Pittsburgh. He retired from Talon, Inc. an an accountant in 1978 after 25 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, volunteers at the Meadville Public Library and as a Red Coat at Meadville Medical Center. He enjoyed gardening, refinishing antique furniture, traveling, reading and his grandchildren.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Roxanne Shoemaker of Salem, OR and Susanne Lindquist of Meadville; a granddaughter, Alexis R. Masters and a grandson Benjamin D. Masters.
He was preceded in death by a son, Martin E. Lang; three sisters, Rosemary Krepp, Jean Griffin and Marie Lang and a brother, Charles Lang.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
