Robert L. Smith

Robert L. Smith, 47, of Guys Mills, died suddenly at his home Monday evening July 12, 1965.  He had been in poor health for some time.

A native of Guys Mills, Mr. Smith was born February 18, 1918, a son of William I. and Sadie Murray Smith.  He married Sara Reed, April 15, 1939.

Mr. Smith had been employed by Erie Lackawanna Railroad, American Viscose Division of FMC Corp., and Cyclops Steel Corp., Titusville.  He was an active member of Masonic Lodge 234, Meadville, and Scottish Rite Bodies of Coudersport.  He also belonged to the Sportsmen Club of Black Ash.

Surviving, besides his widow, are two daughters, Mrs. Lester (Bonnie) Lenhart of Guys Mills and Mrs. Frank (Beverly) Lojek of Meadville; three sons, Harold of Black Ash, Ralph with the US Navy at Fallon, NV and Ronald Paul (Ada) Dingle of Meadville; five brothers, Charles of Mt. Hope, William and Walter of Titusville, Ammon of Albion and Ralph of Guys Mills and six grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Radle Cemetery.
