Robert L. Stamp, Sr., 68, of E. First St., Conneaut Lake, died Saturday, April 8, 2006 at his residence.
He was born in Buffalo, NY February 12, 1938, a son of the late Lee E. and Alice Hemsley Stamp.
He was a graduate of Lancaster High School, Lancaster, NY and attended the University of Buffalo and Erie Community College. He worked at American LaFrance, Elmira, NY and Moog, Inc., East Aurora, NY. He subsequently worked as vice president of Miller Equipment Company, Franklin and retired as vice president and general manager of Tamarack Packaging and Hold E-Z Companies of Meadville, divisions of Channellock, Inc. He was a former volunteer fireman in Alden, NY and was a member of Masonic Lodge 594, Alden, NY.
He was formerly affiliated with Trinity Episcopal Church, Lancaster, NY.
Survivors include a son, Robert L. Stamp, Jr. and his wife Karen of Blacksburg, VA; 2 daughters, Pamela Lerczak and her husband Jamie of Oxford, CT and Lisa McLaughlin and her husband Gerald of Philadelphia; a brother, Gary Stamp of Clarence, NY; and 5 grandchildren, Sean, Jill, Derek, Kyle, and Shannon.
Calling hour will be Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake. A funeral and committal service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Conneaut Lake.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 810 7th Ave., New York, NY 10019.
