Robert Leon Boyle, 64, of Meadville, died Tuesday, January 18, 1976, at Flickinger's Convalescent Home where he had been a patient for six months. He had been ill several years.
He was born in Meadville, July 23, 1912, son of Ernest and Ida DeRoss Boyle. He married Chloe Holbrook September 15, 1938. Mr. Boyle was a school bus driver for many years in Vernon Township. He held various positions with Talon Division of Textron from 1932 to 1951. For several years after that he was a field representative for J.R. Watkins Co., a household products firm. From 1956 to 1967 he was manager of Skat service station on Route 19 south of Meadville when he retired for health reasons. He attended Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Ernest Boyle of Lyona and Gordon Boyle of Meadville; two sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Hall of Meadville and Mrs. Gwendolyn Hall of Meadville; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
