Robert Livingston Davis, 80, of Conneaut Lake died Monday, May 23, 2011 at UPMC-Horizon, Greenville, PA.
He was born September 9, 1930 in Warren, OH a son of Guy and Grace Weatherhead Wesche. He married Barbara M. Garman December 24, 1951 and she survives.
He worked at Reactive Metals in Niles, OH and then as a security guard at Thiel College for 22 years, retiring in 1994. The family moved to Pymatuming area in 1973 and then Conneaut Lake in 1975. He was a 1948 graduate of Girard High School, Girard, OH and served in the US Navy from 1948-1950. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and he enjoyed gardening, mowing his yard and loved going to the grocery store.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Barbara of 59½ years, include: four children, Janet Pauley and her husband Ralph of Wauseon, OH; David Davis of Lowellville, OH, Donald Davis and his wife Pam of Conneaut Lake and Rev. Barbara Davis and her partner Karen Senecal of Brooklyn, NY; six grandchildren, Jennifer Heiney, Russell Pauley and his wife Beth, Tabitha Davis, Laura Davis, Hannah Davis and Emma Davis and four great grandchildren, Tagan Pauley, Reece Pauley, Ella Heiney and Remington Heiney.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Davis, Jr.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake, PA.
The funeral service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dave Brumagin, Assoc. Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Girard Cemetery, Girard, OH.
