Robert Louis Hart

Robert Louis Hart, 86, of Corry, died Saturday, July 2, 2011 at his residence.

He was born in Smock, PA August 9, 1924, a son of Matthew Francis Hart and Henrietta Augustus Sandusky.

Bob was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre of Operations.  He worked at U.S. Steel Co., Clairton, Cooper Bessemer, Pittsburgh, Mohawk Wholesale in Arizona and also was a tow truck driver in Arizona.

A member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, he formerly enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing horse shoes, and golfing.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Norma J. Armagost of Corry; a son, Randall Hart and is wife Diane of Edmonds, WA; a brother, William Hart of Anaheim, CA; two sisters, Ethel Mae Ruck of Chattanooga, TN and Irlean Dragan of Monessen; three grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan, and Brittany Hart; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert James Hart; a daughter, Susan Hart; eight brothers, George Edward, Emmitt, James, Francis, Frederick, Charles, Matthew, Jr., and Rudolph Hart; and three sisters, Lorain Morgan, Christabell Branthoover, and Margaret Erler.

Calling hours will be Saturday, July 9th from 1 to 3 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 327 N. Center St., Corry where a memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Alan P. Coudriet officiating.

Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.

Arrangements are under the direction of Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake.
