Robert W. Neal, Jr.

Robert W. Neal, Jr., 62, of Cambridge Springs, died Sunday, August 14, 2011 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born September 18, 1948 in Punxsutawney, a son of Robert W. and Evangeline Neal, Sr.  He married LaVonne Green December 14, 1968 and she survives.

Bob was a Veteran of the Vietnam War with the U.S. Marine Corps.  He worked at the Knox Glass Plant, was a self-employed contractor, drove truck, and was a bank courier.  He enjoyed camping and fishing.

Survivors, in addition to his wife LaVonne, include two daughters, Robin Miller and her husband Glenn of Sharon and Julie Willey of Conneautville; his mother, Evangeline Best of Knox; two sisters, Sara Neal and her husband Gary of Clarion and Linda Botts and her husband Joseph of Clarion; two half sisters, Dawn Williams and her husband Ron of Reynoldsville and Bonnie Hermann of Virginia; a brother, Gary Neal and his wife Lisa of Warsaw, NY; a half brother, Terry Springer and his wife Kathy of Stoneboro; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a half brother, Scott Springer.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

There will be no funeral service.
