Rodger Lee Smock, 43, of Orlando, FL, for the past 14 years, formerly of Meadville, was dead on arrival Friday, May 25, 1979, at Regional Medical Center in Orlando.
He was born in Meadville, January 28, 1936, a son of Ralph C. and Nellie J. Rodgers Smock. Smock was formerly employed as a salesman for Gary Distibutors in Orlando. He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, and was a graduate of Meadville High School, class of 1954. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean conflict.
In addition to his parents of Meadville, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robin Mosley of Rocky Mount, NC; two sons, Rodger of Battleboro, NC and Bradley of Rocky Mount; a sister, Mrs. Carol Lynn Miner of Carol Stream, IL; a brother, Richard R. of Kissimmee, FL; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Bertha Betilian of Meadville and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
