Roger L. Wolff

March 16, 1947 — May 23, 2000

Roger L. Wolff, 53, of Blooming Valley, of Meadville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born in Meadville, March 16, 1947, a son of the late A. R. (Jim) & Geraldine Whistler Wolff.  He married Mary Lou Hamilton December 12, 1972.  She survives.

He was employed at the Meadville Job Center, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry as a Veterans Employment Representative, with 27 years of service.  Previously, he had been employed for a brief period at Meadville Forging Co., and the former Wolff's Service Center.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict with the US Army.

He was a member of Saegertown American Legion Post #285 and Meadville VFW Post #2006.  He was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church.  He had taken on the responsibility for erecting US flags in Blooming Valley Boro for special occasions.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include one sister, Diann McCaskey (John) of Meadville; two brothers, Denis Wolff (Leslie) of Meadville and David Wolff (Laura) of Cochranton; two aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
