Ronald C. Holder, of Conneaut Lake, PA and Summerfield, FL, passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at UF Health in the Villages, Florida.
Ron was born on August 15, 1934 in Erie, PA, a son of Carl and Mildred Jones Holder. He grew up in Erie and graduated from Erie Academy. He attended Randolph Macon College and graduated from Grove City College. He served in the U. S. Army and Army Reserves. Ron was one of the founding partners of Paragon Packaging Products in Girard, PA.
Ron married Anne A. Hunter on December 2, 1978. In 1985 they moved to Panama City Beach, FL, where they owned and operated several Chem-Dry franchises. In 1999 they retired to Stonecrest in central Florida, where Ron enjoyed golfing. He also enjoyed spending each summer at Conneaut Lake, PA and cruising in the Caribbean.
He is survived by his wife Anne and three children: Kirk Holder of Tulsa, OK, Dana Hillburn (Jerry) of Tulsa, OK and Cara Westerfeld (Otto) of Stillwell, KS. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren: Carl and Levi Holder; Josh Gillum; Steven, Paul, Daniell and Matthew Hillburn; Sydni Connor; Landon Springer and Rebekah and Katelyn Westerfeld; two great- grandchildren, Seth and Rose Holder; a cousin, Bob Mercatoris; and his first wife Marian Holder. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Paul Holder.
Due to the coronavirus, a memorial celebration will be held this summer in Conneaut Lake.
Burial will be at Venango Cemetery, Venango, PA.
