Ronald D. Brown

Ronald D. (Ron) Brown, 36, of Gaithersburg, MD, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Rockville, MD following a 6-week courageous battle with cancer.

He was born January 12, 1972 in Pittsburgh, a son of David and Sharlene Lyons Brown.  He married Jamie Boorech December 21, 2006.

He was a 1990 graduate of Strongsville High School, Strongsville, OH and a 1995 graduate of Edinboro University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.  He worked as a manager of the Sherwin Williams Store, Damascus, MD and had previously been employed in security for the International Monetary Fund Building, Washington, DC and had also worked with the mentally challenged.

He was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed riding motorcycles and many years spending time at the family cottage at Midway Beach, Conneaut Lake.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Jamie of Gaithersburg, MD, include his parents, David and Sharlene Brown of Conneaut Lake; 3 sisters, Michelle Wade and her husband Chris of Cochranton; Sue Ludwig and her husband Keith of Trappe, MD; and Marianne Nicoletti and her husband T.J. of Mentor, OH; 7 nieces and nephews, Andy, Zack, and Alisa Wade, David and Isabelle Ludwig, and Emily and Alex Nicoletti; and his mother-in-law, Mary Boorech of Emlenton.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Lydia Brown and his maternal grandparents, James and Clair Rhodes.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake.  An additional calling hour will be Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 240 N. Third St., Conneaut Lake where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. William R. Green, Pastor officiating.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
