Ronald James Smock, 63, of 340 Maple St., Conneaut Lake, died Sunday, August 5, 2006, at his residence.
He was born in Meadville on September 16, 1942 a son of Paul Wayne and Sarah McKelvely Smock, Sr. He married Judy Kammerdiener Dougherty on October 18, 1980 and she survives.
He was a graduate of Meadville High School. He worked for PPG Industries as a Line Operator for 35 years. He loved his job and had great respect for his co-workers. He also loved working on computers, camping and debating politics.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Judy, include: six children, Cynthia Rhoades and her husband Lloyd of Linesville, Ronald Paul Smock of Suffolk, VA, Stacy Anne Davison and her husband Nathan of Townville, Deadra Smail and her husband Bruce of New Bethlehem, Steven Dougherty of Rimersburg and Dyan Hesidence and her husband John of Karns City, PA, one sister, Barbara McCoy of Meadville; two brothers, Richard Smock and his wife Linda of Cochranton and Donald Smock and his wife Jan of Mountain Rest, SC; eleven grandchildren, Kara, Mitchell, Alex, Casey, Leah, Maggie, Nathan, Katelyn, Gina, Jaimie and Christopher; eleven nieces and nephews and twenty great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Paul Wayne Smock, Jr. and Louis Monroe Smock and one sister, Saundra Monaco.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Hough, Pastor of the Watson Run Church of God, officiating.
Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.
