Ronald L. Crago, 51, of Johnson Road, Townville, died Monday, April 9, 2007 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie.
He was born in Meadville March 15, 1956 a son of Richard and Doris Stainbrook Crago.
He was a certified welder with Plumber and Steam Fitters Local #47 working throughout the area. He had also worked at one time for PPG in Texas.
He was a graduate of Randolph-East Mead High School and he attended Mid-Western State University in Wichita Falls, TX. He also attended bike mechanic school in Daytona Beach, FL.
He was a member of the Meadville Club, Vernon Vol. Fire Dept., Vernon Central Fire Dept., West Mead #2 Fire Dept., VFW Post 2006, Eagles Aerie #429, Meadville Moose Lodge #99, the Italian Civic Club and the Hunting and Fishing Club. He especially enjoyed his home and also enjoyed working on motors.
Survivors, include a son, Cody Crago of Garner, NC, his father, Richard Crago of Meadville, his mother, Doris Crago of Meadville; a sister, Brenda Shartle and her husband Robert of Meadville; a brother, Rick Crago and his friend Karla of Guys Mills and seven nieces and nephews, Ryan, Bryan, Kaitlyn, Austin and Conner Crago and Makayla and Tristan Shartle.
A private family memorial service will be Friday at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville with the Rev. Timothy Solomon, Pastor of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial will be in Wayland Cemetery.
