Ronald R. Sanner

Ronald R. Sanner, 84, of Guys Mills, died Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

He was born in Youngwood, PA June 22, 1931 a son of Charles H. (Chad) and Margot Anna (Chellman) Sanner.  He married Virginia E. Bogardus October 20, 1962 and she survives.

He worked and retired from US Bronze Foundry and Machine Inc. and its predecessors, Abex Corp. and ABC Rail here in Meadville.  He was a member of the United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills and the Randolph Vol. Fire Dept.  He enjoyed golfing in the Tuesday morning men’s golf league at Mt. Hope Golf Course and working in his yard.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Virginia, of 53 years, include: a daughter, Beth A. Sanner of Guys Mills; a son, James R. Sanner and his girlfriend of many years, Barbara Whitman of Guys Mills; two sisters, Ella Mae Terrill and her husband James of Hendersonville, NC and Grace Bohnert and her husband Neil of Lynchburg, VA; a sister-in-law, Janet Hunter and her husband James of Meadville; three brothers-in-law, Bruce Bogardus and his wife Sue of Hartsville, SC, Norman Bogardus and his wife Myrtle of Guys Mills and Tom Heme of Guys Mills and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank L. Sanner and his wife Mary Jo and Charles Sanner; a sister, Margot (Peg) Heme and brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Marilyn Stallard.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-5 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. David Coddington, Pastor of the United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills, officiating.

Interment will be in Wayland Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
