Ronald W. Lippert

June 29, 1941 — March 23, 2021

Ronald W. Lippert, 79, of Meadville passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the Marquette Hospice House.

Ron was born at the former Spencer Hospital in Meadville June 29, 1941 a son of Walter R. and Agnes Powell Lippert.  He married Betty Joann Myers April 3, 1964 and she survives.

Ron attended St. Agatha grade school and Saegertown schools.  He worked in logging before entering the US Army during the Vietnam War serving from 1964-1966.  After returning home he started working at Meadville Malleable and continued through company changes until he retired from Advanced Cast Products after 41 years of service.

In addition to his wife Joann of 55 years, he is survived by three sons, Ronald W. Lippert, Jr. (Nancy), John J. Lippert (Julie) and Robert A. Lippert (Teresa); five grandchildren, Kristina Lippert (Josh Hershberger), Arron Lippert (Jess), Cody Lippert (Tara), Garrett Lippert (Kiersten) and Riley Lippert (Nicole); three great grandchildren, Russell, Roslynn and Nora; a sister, Janice Anderson and a niece, two nephews and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Zoey Hershberger.

Ron was very proud of his family, especially his sons.  He enjoyed working and hunting with them and his grandsons at the family camp, “Lil Rough Cut” at Tionesta.  Many memories were made there where mom held down the fort.  His family will miss him dearly.  God rest his soul.

The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at the Marquette Hospice House for all their wonderful care.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Marshall Lillie, Chaplain of Hospice of Crawford County, officiating.
