Rose Ann Brunner

Rose Ann Brunner, 94, formerly of Chestnut Street, Meadville and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, died there Thursday, June 30, 2011.

She was born in Pittsburgh, October 24, 1916 a daughter of Joseph and Josephine Bova LoBue.

She worked at Wesbury United Methodist Community for 30 years, mostly as a member of the Dietary Staff, retiring in 1986.  She was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society.  She was also a member of the Italian Civic Club, various card clubs and the YWCA.  She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.

Survivors, include: a daughter, Joanne Ende and her husband John of Meadville; five grandchildren, John Ende, Jeff Ende, Jennifer Ott, Bradley Smith, and Ethan Steigerwald; seven great grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Daniel C. Smith of Hartford, CT and Richard Steigerwald of Grove City and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Sylvia Smith and Mary Lou Brunner-Steigerwald; three sisters, Marie Mischler, Mary LoBue and Sarah A. Leri and two brothers, I.J. "Babe" LoBue and Mariano "Joe" LoBue.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of Grace Church, 1085 Water Street, Meadville with Fr. Marc Solomon as Celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Brigid Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to St. Mary of Grace Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, PA 16335, Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., Meadville, PA 16335 or the Meadville Public Library, 848 N. Main St., Meadville, PA 16335.
