Rose Marie Kristyak, 86 of Greenville, formerly of Stoneboro, passed away on February 26, 2022 at St. Paul’s Homes in Greenville. Rose was born in Altman, PA on June 17, 1935 to the late Richard A. and Josephine M. (Kenesky) Goltare. Rose earned her LPN at Mercer County Career Center and went on to work as a nurse at Greenville Hospital, retiring in 1995.
Rose was a member of the Lakeview Church of God and was very strong in her faith. She was a part of the Stephen Ministry Program and the Blanket Ministry Program. She volunteered for Vacation Bible School for numerous years and was a camp counselor many times at Whitehall Camp and Conference Center. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and hand sewing numerous items. She was a talented painter and enjoyed attending many classes. Most of all she was the center of her family and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them.
Rose is survived by her children; Betty (Bob) Carr of Jamestown, Thomas M. Kristyak (companion Tania Ziolkowski) of Stoneboro, and Amy Jo (Mark) Ryczko of Westerville, grandchildren; Mandy Campbell (companion Bruce McQuiston), Kari Safran (companion Bob Higley), Jennifer (Matt) Eklund, Brad (Sarah) Ryczko, and Bryan Ryczko (companion Katie Smith), great-grandchildren; Kelsey Campbell, Kayla (Jonathan) Schiestle, Kristine (Adam) Minor, Kylee (Noah) Boland, Jenna Safran (Fiancé Devin Bobbitt), and Juniper Ryczko, great-great-grandchildren; George Schiestle, Joseph Thomas Roda, Elena Boland, and Quinn Rose Minor, her brother; Robert Goltare, and ex-husband; Martin T. Kristyak, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth, daughter-in-law Gara Kristyak, brother Richard Goltare and sister Julie Ann Hollabaugh.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome from 12pm - 2 pm on Thursday, March 3, 2022. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Jackson Center.
