Rosemarie A. Grossman, 77, of Meadville died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home in Conneaut Lake.
She was born in Meadville December 12, 1934 a daughter of John and Mary Ross Piccirillo. She married Robert H. Grossman January 10, 1952 and he survives.
Over the years she worked first for Talon Inc. then the former Meadville Malleable, then Warren Industries and finally in sales and as a clerk working with her son at Grossman Auctioneering. She retired in the early 1990’s. She was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church. She was an avid poker player, very good softball player, enjoyed bowling, arranging flowers, singing and loved the art of selling jewelry. She was very quick witted, funny and creative in everything she did.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, Robert of 59 years, include: a daughter, Marlene A. Grossman Reedy and her husband Glenn of Conneaut Lake; two sons, Bob Grossman and his wife Brenda of Conneaut Lake and Daniel Grossman and his wife Theresa of Meadville; a brother, Joseph Piccirillo and his wife Jean of Las Vegas; a sister, Katherine Severo of Meadville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Thomas (Pitch) Piccirillo and an infant sister, Marilyn Piccirillo.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 12-2 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Matt Kujawinski, of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Brigid Cemetery.
