Rosemary Dubyak Montag

Rosemary Dubyak Montag, 68, of 413 Hartz Ave., Meadville, died Saturday, March 6, 2004 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born May 3, 1935 in Lyndora, a daughter of the late Samuel and Susan Bugra Dubyak.  She married Kenneth L. Montag September 20, 1969.

She was a 1953 graduate of Butler High School and was employed in the sales department of the Pennsylvania Refining Company, Butler for 16 years.  She and her husband lived in Oil City of 4 years where she was a volunteer at Oil City Hospital and was a member of the Belle Lettres Club.  She and her family moved to Meadville in 1974.  She was employed at Bethesda Children’s Home, Meadville for 10 years working in development and then as administrative assistant to the executive director, retiring in June 1998.  She was a member of the Junior Women’s Club and member and past president of the Meadville Women’s Club.  She was a volunteer at the former Meadville City Hospital and was a charter member of the Meadville Medical Center auxiliary.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Meadville and served 2 terms on the church council as financial secretary.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 34 years, include a daughter Beth Ann Montag Schmaltz and her husband Christopher of Waterford, CT; a sister, Diane Marie Dubyak of Butler; and a number of cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her aunts and uncles.

Calling hours are today (Monday) from 1 to 2:30 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 649 Park Ave., Meadville with the Rev. Brian Moran, Pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery, Meadville.
