Rosemary Walsh, 79, of Meadville, died Monday, October 4, 2010 at Hillside Home after a short stay.
She was born in Pittsburgh, PA April 19, 1931 a daughter of the late Arthur Harold and Marie Catherine Lang Robinson. She married Charles J. Walsh, Sr. August 19, 1950 and he preceded her in death November 22, 1995.
She and her husband, Charles "Robbie" owned and operated Robbies Sport Center for 50 years. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Survivors, include 6 children, Patricia Ann Williams and her husband Lou of Meadville, Kathleen Lynn Gray and her husband David of Meadville, Charles J. Walsh, Jr. and his wife Karen of Greenville, Judith Lee McHale and her husband Randy of Meadville, Todd John Walsh and his wife Stacey of Meadville and Timothy James Walsh of Meadville; twelve grandchildren, Christine Garvey, Brian Williams, Jenna Williams, Kelly Williams, Carrie Williams, Elizabeth Gray, Justin Gray, Michael Walsh, Daniel Walsh, Colleen Walsh, Kaitlyn Walsh and Megan Walsh; two great grandchildren, Owen Garvey and Evelyn Garvey and a niece, Ruthann Kawinski of Meadville.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Brian K. Jensen, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Hillside Home, 535 Williamson Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
