Royal R. Devore

Royal R. DeVore, 79, of Meadville, died at Spencer Hospital Tuesday, May 11, 1965, after an illness of three and one half years.

He was born in Meadville, September 6, 1885, a son of Arthur and Eliza Woodring DeVore and was married to Josephine McCalmont.

Mr. DeVore retired as a mechanic at American Viscose Corp.

Surviving, besides his widow, are four sons, Wilfred and Arden of Meadville, Frank of Ontario, CA and Howard of Harmonsburg; a stepson, Roger E. McCalmont of Pasadena, CA; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Ruth) Hamburger of Erie and Mrs. Joseph (Esther) Seidel of Conneaut Lake; several nieces and nephews; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
