Rudolph Stephen Horak, 78, died Friday, February 6, 1959, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. David (Marybelle) Bird of Guys Mills, after a brief illness.
He was born February 20, 1881, in Czechoslovakia, a son of Francis and Barbara Moses Horak. He was married to Adela Kyncl May 2, 1906. He came to the US in 1905 and was a farmer in Cussewago Township for 25 years before retiring in 1945. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Woodmen of the World.
Surviving are his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Bird, Mrs. Joseph B. (Vera) Martin of Harrisburg and Mrs. Walter L. (Florence) Miller of Meadville; a son, Milton R. Horak of Randolph, NY; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Hornych and Miss Stella Horak, both of Portland, OR; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Dennys Cemetery.
