DUFFY RUSSELL E., Sr.
Age 91, of Conneaut Lake, and formerly of Pittsburgh, died Nov. 2, 2014. Born in Pittsburgh Dec. 22, 1922, a son of the late John Carlton and Lela Mae Busby Duffy. He married Anna Mae Wenzel Sept. 23, 1944, and she preceded him in death in 2012. He was a graduate of South Hills High School and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He worked for a period as an overhead welder at Dravo Ship Building on Neville Island before joining the Pittsburgh Police Dept., where he served for 35 years. He is survived by daughters, Colleen (Dennis) Aitken, Pittsburgh and Noreen (Rich) Yennerell, Apache Junction, AZ; sons, Russell (Judy) Duffy, Jr., Conneaut Lake and Patrick (Janet) Duffy, Pittsburgh; ten grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. Also preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and John Duffy. Calling hours will be Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church, 155 S. 9th St., Conneaut Lake. Interment in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.
