Russell L. Grannis

Russell L. Grannis, 63, of Meadville, died at City Hospital Sunday, November 8, 1970, after an illness of one month.

He was born in Westgate, Iowa, March 12, 1907, a son of Herbert and Rose Linstrom Grannis.  He was married to the former Helen Foster.

Mr. Grannis attended Upper Iowa University at Fayette, Iowa, and graduated in 1930 from Annapolis Naval Academy.

He had been employed as an engineer in the engineering division at Talon Division of Textron since 1946.

He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his widow, are two sons, Richard of Phoenix, AZ and John of Lexington, KY; and one sister, Miss Mildred Grannis of Oelwein, Iowa.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
