Ruth B. Sieklucky

Ruth B. Sieklucky, 80, of 742 Grant St., Saegertown, died peacefully at home Thursday December 5, 2002.

She was born in Spartansburg, December 14, 1921, a daughter of Ralph Richard & Bertha Mildred Cordner Blakeslee.  She married Steve Sieklucky October 21, 1944, and he preceded her in death April 10, 1991.

She was a 1940 graduate of Bloomfield High School, Lincolnville, and was employed at General Electric of Erie as an assembler and dispatcher of work orders, retiring in 1983, after 30 years of service.

She was a member of St. Bernadette’s Roman Catholic Church of Saegertown, its Alter and Rosary Society, the Saegertown Women’s Improvement Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the American Colonists, the Meadville Doll Club, the Meadville Luncheon Group, and the Women of the Moose Lodge of Union City.

Survivors include two daughters, Dolores A. Joshua and her husband David of Saegertown, and Sandra a. Nagy and her husband Frank of Scottsdale, AZ, two step-grandchildren, Aaron Joshua and Rachel Cornell, seven step great grandchildren, one sister, Anna Daszynicz of Union City and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Nina Pollock, Rhea Moore, Lois Blakeslee, Elna Blakeslee and Illa Blakeslee, and 3 brothers, Carl, Gerald, and Howard Blakeslee.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc. 581 Chestnut St. Meadville.

A Mass of Christian Burial and committal service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Bernadette’s Roman Catholic Church, Renner St. Saegertown with the Rev. Robert A. Manning of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church as celebrant.

Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bloomfield Twp. Crawford Co.
