Ruth E. Mcintyre

Ruth E. McIntyre, 69, of Meadville, died Sautrday, February 18, 1989, at Meadville Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Mrs. McIntyre was born near Connellsville, June 20, 1919, a daughter of Paul M. and Georgia M. Knight Roland.  She married John E. McIntyre October 7, 1939.  He preceded her in death December 23, 1985.

She retired in 1984 from the payroll department at the former Meadville City Hospital after 20 years of service.  She previously was employed as an office secretary by Carl Pease Insurance, Bainbridge-Kaufman Real Estate, and the Quaker State Oil Co. in Meadville.  She was a member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Karen) Smith of Saegertown; two sons, Michael D. McIntyre of Cochranton and Richard A. McIntyre of Grand Rapids, MI; one sister, Mrs. James (Dorothy) McIntyre of Cleveland, OH; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Brigid Cemetery.
