Ruth Elizabeth Reichle

July 28, 1925 — January 5, 1994

Ruth Elizabeth Reichel, 68, of Saegertown, a ceramics teacher, died Wednesday, January 5, 1994, at her home after a brief illness.

She was born in Meadville, July 28, 1925, a daughter of John and Clara Miller Hogue.  She married Halver W. Getchell.  She subsequently married Arthur H. Riechel, September 1, 1973.  He preceded her in death April 10, 1989.

She was a ceramics teacher, working from her home.  She was a member of the Little Corners Garden Club and was an avid bowler.  She was a lifelong resident of the Littles Corners area.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Getchell of Saegertown; three step-daughters, Mrs. Steve (Mary Jean) Scott and Mrs. Michael (Judy) Acker, both of Saegertown and Anita Koehler of Meadville; two stepsons, Paul Reichel of Geneva, OH and Charles Reichel of Homer City; two grandchildren; fifteen step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Rodgers of Cochranton and Edna Karns and Audrey Karns, both of Meadville; four brothers, Francis Hogue of Ashtabula, the Rev. Howard Hogue of Mooresville, IN, Donald Hogue of Sunnyvale, CA and Albert Hogue of Meadville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gayle Getchell Bradshaw.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Saegertown Cemetery.
