Ruth Helen Selak, 81, a longtime Conneaut Lake resident died Thursday, April 7, 2005 at Rolling Fields Nursing Home following an extended illness.
She was born in Youngstown, OH September 16, 1923 and was the only child of Ed and Helen Zulick. She married Joseph L. Selak in Youngstown, OH February 16, 1943 and he survives.
She along with her husband, daughter Joanne Lepley and her husband Richard were co-founders in 1968 for Northwest Yamaha in Conneaut Lake. The business she helped found is now in its 37th year, and continues to operate as Street Track 'N Trail and Honda Cars of Meadville.
Ruth will be remembered as being deeply devoted to her family, and for making them the center of her life. And, she taught those close to her how to deal with adversity in a calm and dignified manner.
She was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband Joseph of 62 years, include one daughter, Joanne Lepley (Richard); two grandsons, Bryan Lepley and David Lepley (Debbie) and two great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Garrett Lepley, all of Conneaut Lake.
Services were held with the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.
Interment was in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.
