Ruth K. Klingensmith, 65, of Saegertown, died Sunday, March 21, 1999 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie following a lengthy illness.
She was born September 21, 1933 in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late George C. and Emma C. Ronsky Leimbach. She had first been married to Donald E. Highway. She subsequently married David A. Klingensmith, Sr. August 1, 1959. He preceded her in death in 1982.
She retired in 1977 from the Crawford Packaging Company as a silk screener following over 7 years of service. She previously worked as a licensed beautician and electrolysis technician. She was a member of the former State Road United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women. She loved crocheting afghans and entering them at the Crawford County Fair.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. George (Sue) Barnes, II of Saegertown, Mrs. Geary (Debra) Meehan of Columbia City, IN and Mrs. Brian (Cheryl) Beuchat of Saegertown; two sons, David A. Klingensmith, Jr. (Carolina) of Copperas Cove, TX and Kevin A. Klingensmith of Saegertown; two sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Darlene) Bradshaw of Meadville and Mrs. Paul (Linda) Meehan of Seneca; two brothers, Roger E. Leimbach of Merced, CA and Richard A. Leimbach of Ashland, KY; ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Donna Mae Highway.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
