Ruth M. Aikens

Mrs. Ruth M. Aikens, 91, Corsica, died Thursday, November 14, 1974, at the Methodist Home and Nursing Hospital following an extended illness.

She was born at Smicksburg on September 2, 1883, a daughter of W. B. and Maggie Glenn Coleman.  She married John W. Aikens on February 8, 1900.  He died in 1948.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Chruch, Corsica.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Anna Belle) Clark of Lebanon, Mrs. Joseph (Essie) Hallman of Cleveland and Mrs. Boyd (Metha) Green of Pittsburgh; a son, John Aikens of Akron, OH; fifteen grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Saturday from 2 to 4 at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home where services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

Interment will be at Pisgah Cemetery, Corsica.
