Ruth M. Costello

Ruth M. Costello, 85, of Hatch Hill Road, Meadville and formerly of Wickliffe, OH died Friday, November 27, 1998 at home following a period of declining health.

She was born in Elliott County, Kentucky on May 1, 1913, a daughter of Ira and Minnie Johnson Ison.  She married James V. Costello in May 24, 1946.  He survives.

She attended Mt. Sterling School in Kentucky.  She retired as a production worker in 1973 from Addressograph-Multigraph in Euclid, OH.  In past years she had been a Sunday School teacher and Elder.  She loved gardening and was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.

Suvivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Rita Sabruno of Meadville; a step-daughter, Patricia A. Toth of San Diego, CA; a step-son, James L. Costello of Hudson, OH; three sisters, Pauline Fuller of Indianapolis, IN, Helen Miller of San Diego, CA and Evelyn Good of Janesville, CA; three grandchildren, Sabrina L. Mailliard, Gino F. Sabruno and Dominic A. Sabruno; three step-grandchildren, Tammy Sprague, James Toth, Jr. and Vince Costello; seven great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mabel Thompson, Gladys Wilson and Bess Griffith and five brothers, Vernon, Ernest, John, Paul and Herbert Ison.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
