S. Dick Lord

January 7, 1884 — January 1, 1753

S. Dick Lord, 69, of Meadville, died at City Hospital Monday morning after a long illness.

He was associated in business with C. L. Thurston in the L. L. Lord, Co., Plumbing and Heating, and was a lifelong member of Christ Episcopal Church.

Son of the late L. L. and Mary W. Lord, he was particularly well known in musical circles and had been a member of the Meadville Orchestral Society since its inception, playing both the double-bass and trombone.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Harry P. Study of Springfield, MO; a brother, M. M. Lord of Meadville; two nephews, Samuel S. Lord of Meadville and Dick S. Lord of Erie; and two nieces, Mrs. Vernon Williams of Janesville, WI and Miss Martha E. Study of Fondulac, WI.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
