Sadie June Mihailov

Sadie June Mihailov, 86, of 572 Chestnut St., Meadville, was called home to Heaven Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Meadville June 2, 1921, a daughter of the late Eli and Maria Cvijeticaniu Mihailov.

Sadie was a 1949 graduate of the Practical Bible Training School, Binghamton, NY (now known as Davis College) and a graduate of the Child Evangelism Institute of Santa Monica, CA after which she served the Lord in many capacities.  She served as Child Evangelism Director in Wilkes Barre, PA, was manager of the Child Evangelism Fellowship Office in Mansfield, OH, office manager and secretary of Calvary Church in Grand Rapids, MI and held various other positions teaching Sunday School, youth groups, home bible clubs, and camp counselor.  She sang in many church choirs and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Meadville.

She enjoyed reading, music, gardening, and cooking.

Survivors include 3 sisters, Mildred Guthrie of Meadville; Ruby Mihailov of Meadville; and Desta Stevens and her husband Rev. Maynard of Lindley, NY; 3 brothers, John Mihailov and his wife Grace of Mesa, AZ; George Mihailov of Meadville; and Eli Mihailov and his wife Patricia of Guys Mills; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Donna Fink, Mary Edna Mihailov, and Anna Mihailov, and infants, Eva and Olga Mihailov, and 3 brothers, Harry and Milan Mihailov and an infant, Daniel Mihailov.

There are no calling hours.

A funeral and committal service will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville with the Rev. Douglas Messerall, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.

Interment will be in Radle Cemetery.
