Samuel A. Browder, 78 of Meadville, passed away on October 1, 2023 at his home. Sam was born on August 18, 1945 to the late Samuel Anderson Browder and Mildred Ruth (Kettering) Browder. He worked as a Tool & Die Maker for his entire career. Beginning his apprenticeship at Channellock, then working at Starn, and eventually retiring from Niagara Manufacturing in Erie.
Sam loved being outdoors and watching wildlife. He enjoyed going to Mosiertown to look for the Eagles, watching birds off his patio, and walking around his family farm. He also enjoyed going fishing with his sons-in-law. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.
He married his beloved wife: Bonnie (Nichols) Browder on October 5, 1968, she survives at home. He is also survived by his daughters: Karyn (Brad) Siegel of Meadville; and Kimberly (Gunar) Kokoszka of Meadville, grandchildren: Brittany Hopkins; Zakkary (Catherine) Hopkins; Wes Kokoszka; and Kaitlyn Kokoszka, great-grandson: Leonardo, mother-in-law: June Nichols of Meadville, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Sam was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Marie Metzgar; and Camilla Dean, and 3 brothers: Lawrence; Robert “Red”; and Richard Browder.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, INC. 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
Funeral arrangements will be private.
Interment will take place in Greendale Cemetery.
